  1. Apprenticeship is a perspective that encourages involving students in real-life situations where they can apply all the theoretical knowledge they've acquired in previous years. Under an apprenticeship approach, students learn from skilled professionals the many uses knowledge can have in a professional context. This means that teachers work as guides who help students acquire the skills necessary to perform certain functions and encourage them to use said abilities responsibly and autonomously.
What we wanted to emphasize in our glogster was the importance of involving students in their own learning process, of student autonomy and of a prepared teacher. We also provided a possible example of apprenticeship applied in the English class, which was "English for business": in this class, students learn how to use their linguistic skills in a very specific scenario. The teacher responsible for the class would have to teach them very specific abilities (such as business-related vocabulary and idiomatic expressions) and make students practice these newly acquired skills through simulations (an element also present in Dolan Schon's reflective theory).
