I believe technology is a tool very important in our days not only for students but also for all people since through technology we have access to new information without going out of the house. Also, technology makes education enjoyable, that is to say, teacher have the option to use it to make classes more interactive and interesting. In that way It is easy to attract students´attention . on the other hand, I believe that educational technology allow students take online courses and this is a great advantage for those who can not attend school for health or another complication.

It is true that pedagogical technology has become a pivotal element in contemporary classroom, mostly in the first world, and that implementing strategies that include the use of technology under ideal conditions is not only feasible, but fruitful. However, regardless of how useful ET can be, I don't think it can ever replace the core elements of traditional pedagogy. Having a teacher who can clarify the trickiest elements of a text, or who can give you advice on how to master certain topic or skill, is something that ET hasn't been able to replace (yet). It is an incredibly handy auxiliary in the classroom, yes, but not a replacement.

Nowadays we use technology in classroom and we use it as a tool for searching information, translations, but sometime we don’t use it correctly. ResponderEliminarIn my point of view, the definition of Ana karen, Alicia, Monse, Brian and Andrea is one of the most clear definitions, I also believe that every definition above adds something to the common knowledge of what "Educational Technology" is. As we already read above in the comments, the concept of Educational Technology is all about using technology and its new techniques in your favour to improve your skill and to do your school and also daily life easier.
I think one of the best and most precise definitions of Technology of Education is what my team wrote Gabriela / Jordan / Dulce: Educational technology is some items you need to use to support the practice of Effective teaching and learning. As I read I believe that it is the best because without both detours says what is based on and refers to the teaching and learning issues.

ResponderEliminarIn my personal opinion, every definition is good; however I have to choose only one. I choose the definition of Sarahi, ILeana, Shirley and Ana because is easier to understand and suistable. Also, I liked it because they defined the concept about Educational Technology objectively.

ResponderEliminarI prefer this definition because it says technology is a tool that helps teaching and learning, it is supposed to facilitate both issues. Also I consider that with this tools we will achieve more outcomes in the process of learning if we choose the most suitable tool. As well as it helps us to research information easily and communicate better.

ResponderEliminarThe concept I chose is the one that Sarahí,Ileana,Shirley and Ana wrote because I think it fits the most on what educational technology is nowadays. I do believe we as students must create and use appropiate technological processes and resources just as my classmates mentioned on their definition not only in our learning processes but in our future teaching experiences. Something that I really liked is that we should use media because I think our generation is growing with all this media as an important tool in our learning process.

They all try to explain the same concept but with different words: Educational Technology facilitates our learning by teaching us how to use all the technology we have nowadays. So I chose the definition of Sarhaí, Ileana, Shirley & Ana, that says that educational technology "Is the study of facilitating learning by creating, using, and managing appropriate technological processes and resources, it emphasizes communication skills and approaches to teaching/learning through the use of diverse innovative media." This is the concept I liked more because I think it is very complete, clear and understandable.

I really like the definition of Vivi and Saúl's team because they use the words "appropriate tools, techniques, or processes" and if we do use them our education will be the best and the outcomes will be improved by us. Also, i specially like the name of the subject because combinates education and technology in one!! :D
